FFL Transfers
Our goal is to make your transfer experience enjoyable and seamless. We have a standardized process in place that allows you to schedule your appointment in a manner that works with your busy schedule.
A Private Party Transfer is when someone sells their personal firearm to another individual. This could be someone you know or may not know. Using an FFL to facilitate this transfer is a great way to ensure that the person buying the firearm is legally allowed to possess the firearm. Our government is likely going to be pushing for this in the near future. But in our opinion, it's just good practice to know without a doubt the person buying the firearm is legally allowed to posses it. Call it a CYA or peace of mind, if you will.
An FFL to FFL transfer is typically when someone needs to send a firearm to a gunsmith for repair or custom work, a manufacturer for warranty work, or if you are selling to someone across state lines. It is legal for an individual to ship firearms to an FFL holder, however, there is a lot of red tape and it typically costs more to ship as an individual than it does as an FFL. Additionally, handgun shipping is strictly prohibited by most carriers unless you're an FFL.
An Online Dealer Transfer is when you purchase a firearm from the internet or catalog. This could be directly from the manufacture or a dealer. Since firearms are not legally allowed to be shipped to unlicensed individuals, dealers and manufactures only ship to a licensed FFL. This is where we come in, when you purchase a firearm online, you can have it shipped directly to Come Get Some. Once it arrives we will inspect it, log it into our system and contact you to complete the transfer and background check.
